Robbins History & Company Background
When Jack Robbins first founded our company back in 1958 as a small, one-lot business, he had a vision – not to be the biggest parking solutions provider, but the best. Jack saw success by applying a personalized and hands-on approach to every new parking situation. When Paul T. Clough, our Chairman and CEO, bought Robbins in 1999, he guided this Vancouver Island company back to its roots, operating under the premise that no two lots are the same and approaching each job with an open mind and a fresh eye.

Robbins has grown from the 1950s to become the name of parking on Vancouver Island. With extensive experience in all types of parking facilities, Robbins manages over 150 parking facilities with annual revenues exceeding $30 Million from offices in Victoria and Nanaimo.
We expanded to the US market in 2004 with Platinum Parking, currently employing 550 staff providing parking management services to over 350 parking facilities from offices in seven states and 12 US cities including Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Orlando, Miami, St. Petersburg, Atlanta, Cleveland, New Orleans, LA, and Seattle.
We recently established Platinum Parking Canada (PPC) to support our expansion into Canada. PPC is led by our senior management teams with over 200 years of combined parking management experience and benefits from our infrastructure of more than 750 employees.
Nortech Parking Systems is our industry-leading company in parking equipment installation and maintenance. Nortech is always up to date on the latest technologies to share with our clients their wealth of knowledge on the parking equipment and systems to best fit each parking facility to deliver maximum profit and user experience while meeting the clients’ goals. Nortech has been the exclusive partner for TIBA Parking Systems in Western Canada since 2018 and all of Canada since 2020.
Founded in 1983, Scho’s has a long history in Victoria of providing professional line painting services. Scho’s has been in continuous operation for 39 years, serving our clients throughout South Vancouver Island performing line painting services including municipal road work, new road construction, highway maintenance, and projects large and small, industrial and residential. Scho’s was purchased by Robbins in 2019. Scho’s operates independently but benefits from Robbins’ considerable management resources, landlord and customer service expertise, and systems integration.
